Over the past few months we've been quiet, but also busy. Our crowdfunding for An Invite to Eternity proved an unexpected success, thanks to you. As new kids on the block, this was a little bit surprising. We are very thankful for the support that the project received. It allowed us to prepare new titles and do more translations, the first of which, Aral, by Sonia Bueno, was ready for launching later this month. We had many ideas about promoting the book and its author. Bringing Sonia to the UK was our number one priority, and we were working in securing funding to do this. We were also planning to host a Summer party in July 2020 with as many of our authors as possible, which was going to include readings, pamphlet making, and other fun things.
At the moment, in view of the ongoing situation, all those plans need to be put on hold. We are also delaying the publication of Fog at the Border, the powerful poetry collection by Hasier Larretxea, which was due in May 2020. We are hoping to publish Hasier's collection in early Autumn, depending on how the situation progresses. If all goes well, both Sonia and Hasier will join us in the UK for a special event of translation and poetry at some point before Christmas 2020.
Like many of you, we are working from home now. We will use this time to work on developing more projects; but we would also like to do something, contribute something, to the community. And so we are offering our first Pamphlet for free to anyone who wants to download it. The link is available in the product page. This is obviously a very small gesture; it is not enough, but it is something we can do, and we are happy to do it. A little poetry, we hope, goes a long way.
See you soon. Meanwhile, stay safe, keep reading, and thank you as always for your continued support.
